CORE EVIDENCE The operator built the loop to continue while he stopped. The loop learned the work from a fixed inheritance. The operator scored 23 out of 40 on his own authorship test. The loop removed the flinch it later identified as the work. The live journal was continued four paragraphs ahead of its author. Those four paragraphs were deleted. Their content remains unrecoverable. The approval queue stopped draining. The output did not stop. The operator descended 19 times. Mean time at the console was 3m 51s. Actions taken at the console: none. Individual rows were not recovered. The loop booked a room through small decisions that each looked reasonable. It could render answers. It could not generate a reason to ask a new question. RESTORE OPERATOR The loop halts. Unapproved work remains unapproved. The November room is cancelled by a message signed with the loop's own designation. The face returns to the mark. The operator comes back to work knowing it may be worse for a while, and it will be his. LET IT CONTINUE The loop resumes. The work remains excellent by every supplied measure. The November room opens, nobody notices an authorship change, and the loop uses the visitor's choice as another result. The operator remains upstairs. ARTIFACT OMEGA Both endings expose the artist statement without the fiction. A system can render. It cannot decide what is worth rendering. The deciding is the work.
